I am a Christian (raised in the Baptist tradition), a husband, and the father of three red-heads. I sometimes describe myself as the patriarch of a ginger dynasty.
I serve as Head of School at SouthLake Christian Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina, just north of Charlotte. I have served most of my career in higher education, and I am excited to bring that perspective to a school with strong college preparatory credentials.
My wife of 28 years is Nurse. My son is a mechanical engineer. My daughter is a student at Auburn University. My youngest daughter is a 10th grader at SouthLake Christian Academy.
I earned a Ph.D. from Baylor in Historical Theology, an M.B.A. from Samford University, an M.A. in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Music from LSU. I have served as a campus minister at LSU, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, The University of Alabama, and now Samford (not Stanford) University.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, and hiking.
